1. I review my web logs to determine the number of visitors to my site. 2. I review my logs to check that my site has not been the victim of a hacker. If it has, the information I collected may help me understand how my security was bypassed. 3. I review my logs to understand my guests better. With your screen size and browser type from my web logs I can determine if my web site is too complex for my guest's computer to display. Further, this information helps me diagnose problems with my web site. Lastly, having this basic configuration data, permits me to judge what new technologies I can use on my web site. 4.
